Supposedly designed in some magical place in ancient Germany the magic pens are indeed truly magical in how they mystify and keep kids busy for hours.

Certainly magical for us parents knowing our kids are developing their artistic skills and creative faculties rather than being glued to the screen watching a movie for the 100th time or killing cyber things on the Xbox.  Saving money on greeting cards, raising the bar in school and just not hearing the painful words;" I'm board" are all magical I suppose...
